Disclaimer: While there's no 'bad' class options in Dark and Darker, each class can be overpowered in the right situation. But, this Tier List considered which classes are in good situations the most and require the least amount of effort regarding the positions.
Bringing up the rear of the pack are Barbarians which might surprise some. Barbarians are, in my opinion the most powerful melee character however, it comes with high cost. Barbarians slow down in almost everything they do in everything from swinging their weapon to running and even applying bandages.
As a result, any Barbarian with no helpful Haste-Wizard is usually out-sped and defeated by other classes. However when Barbarian players advance and open more Perk Slots, some of their weaknesses get tamed somewhat. If they are able to even get close to their opponent, then there's nothing scarier than a Barbarian.
The next pick is Rogues. another choice that is likely to cause a stir among the people who main this class. Yes, Rogues will be dominant if they're played properly. In fact, shanking the player who has no idea the Rogue is even there five or more times before they can react is so absurdly fun.
